Eid Picnic - Food and fun for the whole family.

The Eid Picnic is held each year to celebrate Eid Al Fitr at the conclusion of Ramadaan. Details for the 2011 are as follows:

The Program for this year's Eid Al-Fitr Prayer is as follows:
1. Both men and women's prayer halls will be open from 7:00 am on the day of Eid, either Tuesday, August 30 or Wednesday, August 31. This first hour will be used for final preparations Inshallah. Anyone is welcome to help.
2. At 8:00 am, we will start Takbeer Inshallah and everyone should find their places during this time and all are encouraged to bring their own prayer carpets. Takbeer will last until around 8:30 am. The Imam will hand out some gifts for our community wide competition winners Inshallah just prior to salah.
***We encourage everyone to give your Zakat Al-Fitr before salah as is required for the completion of your fast. The amount is $10 for each member of your household, man, woman or child. Pay this amount anytime before Salat on Eid Day. Also, if you have Zakat Al-Mal due on your wealth, you are encouraged to pay it as well at this time. For details on Zakat Al-Mal, please approach the Imams.
3. At 8:30 am, the Imam will call us for Salat Ul-Eid and Immediately after salat the Imam will start his khutbah and everyone, men and women are asked to remain seated and silent throughout the Khutbah. 4. At 9:30 am, the sheikhs will distribute the toys to children in the men's and several assigned sisters will distribute the toys in the women's prayer areas. We will also offer food and beverages to everyone in both areas in an orderly manner at that time inshallah. 5. At 10:00 am, the kids carnival will start inshallah in an adjacent hall within building 4. Older kids will have an option to engage in activities outside in grass area outside the men's prayer hall past the parking on the grass field. 6. Within a few hours, at the conclusion of all the prayers and festivities, we will have some minor cleanup, and all who are still present are asked to help by keeping things clean. Jazakum Allahu Khairun ajma'iin. May Allah accept all of our efforts in this blessed month and keep us united striving all together in His Cause as One Ummah, undivided, Allahumma Amin.
